Vintage Federal Glass Bowl Set of 4: Iridescent Celestial Marigold Pattern, Marigold plate

The pictures barely do this gorgeous, luminous 4pc set of 3 vintage iridescent pink/purple glass bowls and 1 plate justice. All three of the bowls and one plate have deep ribs on the underside area, ending in purple rounded tips. These scalloped edge bowls have a gorgeous gold color, mixed with purplish/pink iridescent edges.

There are 18 ribs on the large bowl and 12 ribs on the 2 smaller bowls and plate. The deep ribs on the back of all the bowls and plate help to reflect light and changes the colors that are seen. A beautiful centerpiece or serving bowl and 2 matching smaller bowls and one plate are made by Federal Glass in the Celestial Marigold iridescent purple pattern.

In this pattern, the glass in the gold center spreads out and turns into a deep purple/pink around the tips. The shape is that of a starburst giving these bowls a magnificent presence. This bowl would be a gorgeous centerpiece on a dining table, buffet, or sideboard. The colors are fantastic and the iridescence displays lustrous colors like those of the rainbow. Federal Glass made many glass patterns from 1900 and up to company's end in 1979 in Columbus, Ohio. Their specialty was handmade press glass.

The larger gold and pink iridescent luminous bowl is perfect for serving salads, both pasta salad or tossed salads and the accompanying smaller bowls are get as well. There is a super elegant feeling to these glasses and the way they are colored, along with their shape and durability, make this set of 3 vintage glass bowl set a wonderful edition to anyone's tablescape. No effort is spared to ensure your fabulous item arrives in one piece. I always use small or large bubble wrap and may even fashion a cardboard protector around the items. Everything is packed with either air bubble packets and/or heavy packing paper, to ensure that the items you order do not actually touch the sides of the box.
