Rare Vintage Adele Simpson Beaded Couture Vest: 1960s Embellished Fashion

The incredible beauty of this RARE, vintage Adele Simpson beaded glass cropped vase can not stressed. The assortment of colors, shapes and gold threading sits on a gold silk fabric. The details and attention to detail is fantastic, and the way the piece literally glistens like gold under certain light including daylight, is something that is so beautiful.

There were many times, I would just stare at the jewel colored glass mesmerized at how it glitters and sparkles. What a piece! I will be sad to part with it, and know that this piece will take its place as a true collector's item!

As far as flaws or defects - there are a couple of areas that will need restorative/corrective measures. There is a band of edging that has separated from the collar. This will need to be re-stitched back on by a seamstress. Also, one of the buttons is missing a round clear rhinestone - this can easily be purchased at a button store or online. I have carefully looked, but could not see any missing glass stones. The lining is completely intact, with minor signs of wear and very minimal signs of use. There are some signs of wear on the 4 button rings. A professional seamstress could stitch down 3 or 4 other loose threads using gold thread.

This beaded glass cropped vest is an authentic Adele Simpson that is quite rare and a stunning example of the craftsmanship of the original seamstresses! A testament to their expertise and high attention to detail.
