While there is a sunken central area, they may not be okay to use as soup bowls unless you serve a very small sampling only. The line pattern and the gold band really makes these plates easily matched with other gold colored table decor, accents or other gold glassware. What's also great about these gold rimmed plates is that the gold area is actually a part of the plates and is not something that can be 'chipped off', so all these pretty plates with maintain their beautiful appearance. They all would look lovely on top of a gold charger/display plate and are a wonderful addition to anyone's tablescape.

Trust Me - I am a Master Packer of glass and other fragile items. I take the utmost care to pack items so there is zero movement - which is why nothing has ever been broken to date. Some items will be wrapped with bubble wrap and shipped in a small box, in a box - it just depends on how to best pack it up safely.

No effort is spared to ensure your fabulous item arrives in one piece. I always use small or large bubble wrap and may even fashion a cardboard protector around the items. Everything is packed with either air bubble packets and/or heavy packing paper, to ensure that the items you order do not actually touch the sides of the box.
