Antique Cranberry Glass Vase: Hobbs Brockunier Inverted Dot, 1880s Victorian

This is such a beautiful antique pink inverted dot cranberry glass vase with a beautiful shape, two applied clear glass handles and scalloped lip! Super pretty ruby red/pink/cranberry color, this pink glass vase is made by Hobbs Brockunier in the 19th century, around the 1880s. Known for the gorgeous optical effects, this Victorian inverted thumbprint or inverted dot cranberry vase glitters and creates lots of movement in the glass as the circular areas seem to morph and change as you walk around it. This 19th century antique English Victorian vase sits on a small pedestal.

Made in Wheeling, West Virginia, this antique cranberry glass vase would definitely make a fabulous addition to anyone's collection. What is neat about this antique cranberry pink Victorian glass vase is that it's only when you put your finger on the inside of the vase that you can feel the rounded dots. The outside surface is flat though. The fabulous design, shape and color of this pink inverted dot glass vase is what the glassmaker, Hobbs Brockunier is known for. It's great you can see the visible bubbles throughout, and is a testament to its hand blown nature. This antique pink glass vase is flawless, with absolutely no chips or cracks.
